Introducing Philip Mills as Service Desk Team Lead

Happy New Year to everyone!We have the pleasure to welcome Philip Mills, who started with us at Mercury in December as our Service Desk Team Leader based in the UK.Philip is no stranger to application support. He has 12 years' experience within different roles that have included: Analyst, Specialist, Senior and Team Leader. He also spent 7 of those 12 years within the recruitment industry, where he implemented and supported software for CRMs’ - including Microsoft Dynamics. He also knows his way around, financial systems such as Payroll and Business Central.Philips’ goals as technical lead are threefold:

  • To increase technical knowledge within and around the team, making that knowledge more accessible.
  • To help implement new ITIL inspired processes to improve the quality of service provided by the Service Desk.
  • He will also serve as an escalation point for queries that require “deeper” investigation.

Being on the front line will allow Phillip to identify customer needs and suggest potential system improvements.Getting to know Phillip:
