Microsoft Subscription Price Update - What You Need to Know

Microsoft is making some key updates to UK subscription pricing, including a price increase from April, but there’s good news for many customers! Thanks to currency adjustments, some customers will actually see their costs go down.To help you stay ahead and make the most of these updates, here’s a simple breakdown of what’s changing and how you can get the manage licensing costs with Mercury.Key Changes to Microsoft Subscription Pricing🔹 Currency Exchange Rate Adjustment (Effective 1st February 2025)

    • Microsoft is reducing UK subscription prices by 5% due to a currency correction.
    • This aligns with current exchange rates and will be reviewed every six months.

🔹 Price Increase for Monthly-Paid Annual Commitments (Effective 1st April 2025)

    • Subscriptions on annual commitments with monthly payments will increase by 5%.
    • This increase does not apply to subscriptions paid annually upfront.

🔹 When Will These Changes Take Effect?

    • Price adjustments only apply at your next renewal. Your current pricing remains unchanged until then.
    • If your renewal happens before 1st April 2025, you can take advantage of the 5% reduction before any increases apply.
